SpyGlass Investigation Services is a Michigan-licensed private investigation agency based in Dearborn. It was founded in 2025 by Hussein Alhajar, an intelligence professional with experience supporting the Defense Intelligence Agency abroad. He handles every case personally.
The founder
Why I started SpyGlass
I studied criminal justice and security at Schoolcraft College, then spent most of the next decade working for U.S. defense programs, much of it overseas. I'm an intelligence professional. At the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad I supported the Defense Intelligence Agency and worked alongside American defense officials. My job was to evaluate information, judge whether a source could be trusted, and write reports that senior people made real decisions on.
That work taught me that a finding is only as good as its source. Every claim needs a second confirmation, and a clear report matters more than a long one.
I came home in 2023 and began working surveillance, background and fraud cases in Metro Detroit. In 2025 I opened SpyGlass so I could run cases the way I believe they should be run. That means lawful methods, verified facts, and a client who always knows where their case stands.

Arabic-language investigations
Fluent in the language of the case
Metro Detroit is home to one of the largest Arabic-speaking communities in the country. Many cases here involve witnesses, records or family members who are more comfortable in Arabic. I conduct those interviews myself, with no interpreter and nothing lost in translation.
